Why We Built This Site
Louisiana gives the public broad access to records under laws such as La. R.S. 44:1, while other rules limit juvenile, sealed, crash, and sensitive personal records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the Ascension Parish file you want. Clerk Bridget Hanna's office handles District Court and Parish Court filings, civil cases, criminal filings, successions, marriage records, land records, and public access computers. The 23rd Judicial District Court handles Ascension civil and criminal matters, Ascension Parish Court handles many local traffic and misdemeanor matters, and Sheriff Bobby Webre's office manages jail and law-enforcement records. We pull those channels into one local reference point.
